All Custom Age 625+® studs are centerless ground, heat treated prior to thread rolling and machining, and are nominally rated at 270,000 psi. These fasteners deliver a 30% increase in tensile strength over the OEM Torque To Yield (TTY) head bolts.
ARP High Performance Rods Bolts are made from a premium grade 8740 allow chrome moly steel. This material is heat treated to provide a tensile strength in the 200,000 range, which is substantially stronger the OEM.
