The camshaft sensor is a sensor that feeds information to the computer as to the position of the cam shaft so that it knows when to add fuel.   Failing camshaft position sensor is likely to be the cause for stalling, rough running or even a no start condition leaving you stranded.  When a cam shaft position sensor is not functioning properly the engine is not running correctly and can cause further damage.  It is crucial to replace this part when failing.
